Meet the Founder

Penny L. Campbell

She is the visionary behind Seniors In Transition. Penny is a native of Dillon, SC, but she currently resides in Charlotte, NC. She has an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems from Clemson University, and a master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

In 2008, Penny’s father was found unconscious in his home. After he was rushed to the hospital, the doctor diagnosed him with dementia. During Penny’s father’s four year battle with dementia, he lived with family members, three different assisted living facilities, the nursing home, and the hospice wing in the hospital. Being that Penny lived two and half hours away, she had to drive back and forth to get and deliver essential items to her father and to sign paperwork. Sometimes, the assisted living facilities would call stating that her father needed items. Luckily, some family members lived close by to deliver these items. However, if no one did, what would happen? This question caused Penny to turn her struggles and challenges with her father into triumph for other caregivers.
